HMR Nursing and Medical Services are proud of their team who continue to work tremendously hard to maintain the top rating from the CQC for Care Agencies. We believe that all Service User’s receive an excellent service and we ensure that each client has the personalised service they require. Under the guidance of Anne Rubie (Managing Director), who has a very ‘hands on’ approach to the business, Tara D’Arcy-Wykes, Nurse Resource Manager, and Cathryne Packham, Care Case Co-ordinator, provide a dedicated and committed service.
As we are Ambassadors of the Department of Health’s ‘Dignity Challenge’, our care staff, managers and administration staff are registered as ‘Dignity Champions’ and we adopt and work towards the 10 dignity rules. As follows:
HMR supplies Healthcare Support Workers and Trained Registered Nurses to NHS & Private Hospital, Industry & Schools & Nursing Homes, Learning Disability Units & Social Services Units. HMR is currently preferred supplier to Dorset Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust covering Learning Disability units and EMI Hospitals in Boscombe, Christchurch, Southbourne, Bournemouth and Poole. We are also first line suppliers to Poole Hospital, Royal Bournemouth & Christchurch Hospital and Dorset County Hospital as well as supplying to other local NHS Trusts. If you currently work for an agency you may find that your bookings are at short notice, which can be quite difficult. At HMR we often have shifts for several weeks ahead so you can plan your life in advance.
As an HMR agency nurse you will belong to a professional and well supported team. You may work as little or as much as you would like. Our team consists of staff that may work once a month to those who work 40+ hours a week.
Our staff are continuously undergoing training and professional development in order to keep up-to-date with current practices. Each member of staff is appraised at 6-month intervals
HMR staff are expected to present themselves to an assignment wearing the appropriate uniform. A name badge and photo identity card is worn at all times for ease of identity. A uniform policy exists for all our staff to which they are bound by.
