HMR welcomes all grades of Trained Nurses to work mainly in NHS Trusts across the Dorset area. You can choose to work as little as one shift a week to 40+ hours with shifts to suit you. There is always a demand for Trained Nurses within the local hospitals.
All healthcare support workers will receive full induction and mandatory training. Staff must either complete the mandatory training, or produce certificates showing courses completed within the last twelve months.
Yes. It will be necessary for you to complete all the training above and we will start you in areas where you will feel confident to work. The majority of work is within NHS Trusts, which covers the Dorset area in mental health, learning disability units, EMI Hospitals and General Hospitals including maternity. There is a good variety of work available allowing you to try out various areas to see which you prefer to work in.
Yes. All staff must complete an Enhanced Disclosure application and will only be able to start once the certificate has been received. Currently CRB's are not portable and you will need a new certificate for each employer you work for.
When completing your application form please do so as fully as possible as HMR must have a full employment history. We will require three references that must include your last 2 employers. If you are a Trained Nurse you will need to bring in your PIN card for verification. You will be required to undergo a comprehensive health screening and have evidence of current vaccination/immunisation for Rubella, Varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, TB. Your GP should be able to help with this but we are pleased to advise you through the process
Rates of pay will be discussed with you at interview.
As soon as we have received all your references, health clearance and Enhanced Disclosure Certificates. You must also have passed the training course or have evidence of recently completed training.
